I amĀ a motivational speaker, success coach, national board-certified physician assistant, entrepreneur, world traveler, philanthropist, AND dreamer who has spent the last 25 years serving a socioeconomically and ethnically diverse population of patients, clients, students, and audiences.Ā
I am known for my ability to deliver engaging motivational messages with wit and style geared primarily towards professionals who find themselves feeling STUCK when their current goals, career aspirations, and interests shift and no longer represent the current version of who they are.Ā
I am the owner and founder of PsychMYway, South Carolinaās 1st PA-owned outpatient telepsychiatry practice and is also one of the few psychiatric providers treating patients in the United States Virgin Islands where I medically treats patients who suffer from mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety disorders, and bipolar disorder.Ā
My Story

I love learning and teaching! I earned a Doctor of Medical Science from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions, a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the Medical University of South Carolina, a Masters in Public Administration, a joint program through the University of South Carolina and the College of Charleston, and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the College of Charleston.
Dr. Adkins is married to her college sweetheart, Rev. Randy Adkins,Jr. preacher, teacher, speaker, and author ("Produce on Purpose: Experience Live Being the Real You") and they have three amazing and successful children. Her hobbies include exploring self-help content, amateur photography, dancing, and traveling for missions and pleasure (24 countries...and counting!)
Most people don't realize how much time they've spent painting on a canvas not designed for them. Early in my professional life I found myself struggling with the traditional 9-5, I had plenty of paint and brushes but they just didn't seem to match a traditional "job." When MY canvas began to emerge, what a creative and colorful collage it became! I created a life I don't need to escape! A few highlights:
- 1st PA owned telemedicine practice in South Carolina
- Creator of multiple nontraditional positions as a PA (some that allow me to travel to beautiful destinations)
- CME presenter (Work Life Balance, Psychiatry topics)
- Keynote speaker (graduations, white coat ceremonies, etc)
